As of August 4th, the members of Her Name Is June decided to take an indefinate hiatus. The decision had been made to break up completely, but after the support of close friends and the positive feedback from their July tour, they felt it wasn't in their best intrest to disband completely. However, each member has a new project that they are excited to be working on; Ben and Justin have started a folk/acoustic project called Instruments, Nate nows plays guitar in the positive hardcore band Words We Spoke, and Trevor is going to be creating music with their good friend Matty J. Only through the support of friends, family, and fans has the band survived as long as they had, and each member, from the bottom of their hearts, wants to say... THANK YOU.

Semi-quick updates today -- We have a show this wednesday with The Noise On Vinyl, The Swinging Field, and Drawing Board from Indiana, at All Things Art in Canandaigua. Since we didn't have time to record at all in the last two months, we'll be recording our entire set to release as our EP for tour. We also have a huge announcement to make to all who are there. The booking for the tour is going really well -- we just need to tie up loose ends; we're missing shows on a couple of dates but we're confident we can fill them. In fact we'll be playing two days in small towns in Maryland. If you're around, and like music, you should please please go. Info is available on our myspace page. Hopefully I'll get a chance to update our website's show page, but not right now...Nate is sleepy!

Also, for all who are interested, I will be taking up second guitar duties in the postive hardcore band Hangin' Tuff as of the end of July (or the end of the HNIJ tour) up until I leave for college in Toronto, in November. I plan on learning all their songs, writing a ton of awesome new stuff, and touring with them to Florida and backin late August/September. Get stoked! - Nate

Well it's certainly been a long time since I've updated. Hopefully you have already read Justin's update to get some of the news on what's going on now, but we have a bit more to say. We'd like to thank everyone's help for the shows we played on our tour, everyone who came and shared experiences with us, and for Tim Wilson of A Wonderful for coming with us. We had so much fun, and we plan on touring with Tim again in the future (before my ass goes to school hopefully).

New music: We plan on pumping out some new jams and hitting the studio (being the nooks and crannies of whatever decent-sounding space we can fit in via Elephant Sound) within the next couple weeks to prepare for a split release with our good friends The Noise On Vinyl, from Bloomfield. There may be a limited 7" release of that if we can afford it. At the same time we will be releasing a new EP called "Colorscheme" due out before our summer tour starts July 6th. Expect many of the songs you've been hearing from us live on that EP, plus a couple more new ones that we are yet to work on. We've even been talking about revamping an old song for re-release. Get stoked on that.

Summer tour: This summer we will be heading out on the east coast with our very, very good friends The Swinging Field, from Binghamton, NY. The kick-off for that will be on July 6th in Appalachin, NY at Club Jergens, 6 Hilltop Rd., with Tomorrow Is Forever. It's their last show (we're pretty sure about that this time). We'll be with them up until July 18th. Then we'll be heading out on a New England Tour with Rochester's own The Hoodies from mid-to-late-August. Get seriously fucking stoked on that too!

Everything else: We're working on a shit-load of merch for tour as well. The following will be available as of July: old full-length cds, recent demos, very old demos, new splits (maybe a 7"), new EPs, old and new hand-made t-shirts, new hand-made silk-screened t-shirts, and new professional silk-screened t-shirts, along with new stickers and old buttons. Also, you should come see us tomorrow with Damiera and Fire When Ready at the Penny Arcade in Rochester. It will be fantastic.
Thanks! -Nate

Hey! We're alive. We're rockin', we're rollin'. A new demo of 'The Color Scheme' and an acoustic demo of 'The Untimely Demise Of The Jim Davis Gang' is on our myspace page. Lots of shows coming up, including our month long tour with The Swinging Field. We'll record some jams for real too REAL soon, I promise (I hope). I'll update in another month or so, until then, go outside, listen to Rusted Root, and have a BBQ!!!

Well its been a long March, filled with a decent amount of shows and alot of hardwork for the short tour. Hopefully it will all turn out great. We're still working on a show for Friday the 14th and Sunday the 16th so any help would be appreciated.

We have a whole bunch of pics up from our last show in town on March 19th in the Photos page. You should check them out. Also, our Shows page should be updated super soon so keep checking back for the latest updates on all the shows we have coming up. Thanks for the support, and we hope to see you soon

*UPDATE!* We are planning on going on tour with good friends A Wonderful. Hopefully (that's a big hopefully), this will go as planned. Past experience shows that doesn't always happen. Also, we'd like to kick off the tour not on the 14th in Baltimore, but on the 13th, possibly in the NY, PA, or Eastern OH area. Any help is appreciated. Thanks again.

There's some new information about our tour we'd like you to know about. As of this moment, we are going alone...but are talking to a couple of bands about who will be replacing Cinema on the tour. If you didn't know, Rory and Kyle have been let go from Cinema, and they will be needing time to find new members and such, so they will not be coming with us on tour. As far as shows go -- the 4th day (Rochester, NY) has been solidified, the 3rd day (Syracuse, NY) is 1/2 way there, the 2nd day (Philadelphia, PA) is almost hopeless but we're working on it, and the 1st day (Baltimore, MD) is beginning to be in the works. We're stoked to have more updates and good news as time progresses, hopefully we'll be able to relay that to those of you who care asap. Thanks for sticking with us.

New jams coming in March (shit got pushed back), pictures coming soon (more shit got pushed back), and also, we hope that the March 18th show will still be happening. More news on that when the time comes. Stick around; stick with us. Later.

Hey all, on behalf of Her Name Is June, Cinema, and The Soleil Waltz, I'd just like to say thank you all for coming out to Friday night's show at All Things Art. There was an amazing turnout, the bands were amazing, we were amazing, you were amazing, everything was amazing. Thank you to those who bought our shit, because we need to clear it out and make room for new merch which you are sure to absolutly lovez0r. If you didn't get a chance to get anything on clearance, the prices will stay the same until they're gone, basically...except for prices on pins. As soon as new merch comes the clearance prices will probably only stay for CDs.

Anyways, we probably won't have another show until our next in Syracuse on March 3rd; there's really not much time left in February, and I will be in Toronto on vacation for 5 days next week, so...you get the point. We'll just be preparing next for the Westcott Community Center show, which, if you have the means, we absolutly reccomend you get out to. It will probably pretty much rule face. So, once again, to those who came out, we thank you. Also, somebody bought our "HNIJ Wildcats" homemade shirt and left it at ATA. If you see this, let us know by e-mailing us at the e-mail provided on our links page so we can find out who you are and possibly get this back to you.

Also, as far as our upcoming tour with Cinema goes, we only have about 1.5/4 dates confirmed, and as you can see, we had to shorten it to 4 days. It will be much easier this way. OK! That is all. See you at the next show, and thanks again.

p.s...we broke 10,000 plays on MySpace today. Thank you all.

*Show Update* -- Cinema has been confirmed for the show on Feb. 17th. Also, we are in the works of getting on a show on Feb. 14th at the Bug Jar and also May 19th at the Palace in Clifton Springs. Also, more bands have been confirmed for the March 18th show in Canandaigua (now all we have to do is confirm a venue...). Also, I messed up the flyer for the 17th a bit as well. It says the show is on "SATURDAY" on the flyer, but in actuality the show is on FRIDAY! It has been changed as of now. Sorry. That's all...

Hey, just a quick update. We've got a couple more shows coming up and we might also be planning a few day tour with Cinema in April that we're super excited about. Go check out those shows, see if they're in your area, and...fuckin' come out and help us pay our debts. We'll give your more information on that tour and stuff as soon as we get some sort of confirmation, and maybe hear from one more band. Sick? SICK! -Nate

Happy New Year! Granted it's a month late, but better late.... etc... Anyways, we just got done playing a rockin' show in Webster with They Sleep They Dream, and other great bands. We played some new music and we ended our set with a jammin' 10 minute song. It was great. Perhaps we will take this month to write more music. Yes, perhaps we will. We'll get some songs recorded soon, this much I promise. Until then, take care, and go to Garcia's in Geneva. Best Mexican around.

Well all, it's been a while since our last update -- almost a month -- and not much since then has really been going on. We recently played a show with Tim Wilson, Paisan and Tamerlane -- it was a good time had by all. We were a little sloppy...guitars need work...but we had fun. Thanks for all who came.

This will probably be the last update for about another few weeks -- I am heading off to Hawaii in 4 days and wont be back until the end of the month, making tomorrow our last practice for a while. Feel free to stop by and jam with us if you'd like.

Also, we're writing some new songs that really need some work right now but we're doing our best. I'm currently under a bit of writers block and need a short break just to get away (see: Hawaii), and my guitar is in the shop getting a total overhaul -- along with the same for my other one but is being cleaned up for selling condition (if anyone is looking to buy a used Epiphone Casino + case for 275 let me know. Some new parts). We're hoping to write some music that will please people outside of our current...and small...fan base. We're looking for a mathier style -- the Finger Lakes area is definately in need of something in that vein, and we're doing our best to provide as such.

Well I believe that is all for now. As soon as I get back we'll be preparing for our next show on Jan. 27th. Expect this to be our best show yet...considering we have massive amounts of time to prepare. Thanks. -Nate

NEW SHOWS ADDED -- View shows!
This is just a real quick little update, but basically, we have two new shows up, and also, as a quick reminder, check out our interview at DrivenFarOff.com! It's the closest we've got to some real, national recognition, so...we're pretty happy about it. Here's the link -- Driven Far Off.

As we may have mentioned a while ago, we've been writing brand new songs, and so far we have about 4 in the works -- and each one of them is a huge improvement from the songs on our full-length. One needs to be re-worked...the other is finished...another is an off-shoot of the one we just finished that is still in the works...and the fourth is something brand new that will take a few weeks to finish. We hope to get them all recorded by January or sooner so everyone can hear. Until then, we'll be playing atleast 2/4 of them live.

Well, thats all for now! Make sure you come to a show sometime soon! (hopefully we'll have more...)
-Nate

November 13th, 2005
Hey..... Sup? We did an interview last week with DrivenFarOff.com, check it out if you are able to. Also, show on November 26th. I'm going to call it the Turkey Jig Gig. Probably because someone will be in a giant turkey suit. Or not. We'll see. Check it out in the shows section.
Until we meet again,
-Justin.

October 31st, 2005
Happy Halloween! We're all busy writing some new jams which we are hoping you will hear in the near future. They are seriously some of the best tunes to come out of this band, and we are really excited. Shows coming soon. Be safe, have fun, and keep on truckin'.
On a side note, go camping before it gets too cold, it will make your life!!
-Justin

October 2nd, 2005
Quick news today -- Our show on Oct. 8th has been cancelled! Travis from Scholar left the band and, considering that they booked the show, we now have no show! We promise a similar show will happen very very soon. Hopefully our shows next weekend won't crap out like this one!

NEW SHOWS ADDED -- View shows!

Thanks to everyone who came out to the show on the 24th at All Things Art; we had more fun that night than at any show we've ever played, and we all agree that we've never played better, and that we never wanted that night to end. We're hoping that our next show on the 8th will be just as good, if not better!

Also, I added a nice little Flash mp3 player to our media page, just as an experiment. Right now there are a whole bunch of our songs on there, a few you have heard and a few you may have not. Sometime soon it will hopefully be embedded into the Index page so that its not just on the Media page. Some new pictures coming soon as well.

Check back frequently for more updates regarding our upcoming shows -- new info is coming all the time!
-Nate
